Hey Friends! I hope you’ve been well! Whew, it’s been a while. Between cheer season and the flu, your girl has been all over the place. I’ve fully recovered, and our girls and boys basketball teams have made it to the playoffs! Wooohooo! Go Bulldogs.
Today, I’m back with a quick Slay of the Day featuring items I found in my closet! One of my resolutions for the year is to do more with what I already have. Influencer Culture will have you believe that you need to be a constant consumer with their look books and gift guides. But this culture is dangerous, and honestly wasteful!

If you live anywhere on the east coast, you know this weekend we’ve finally experienced some winter weather! I decided the base of my outfit would be black. What you can’t see in this photo, is that I’m wearing an undershirt that is fur lined beneath my black turtleneck. This turtleneck is from Walmart and comes in various colors. I bought each of the colors because they are perfect for layering with all kinds of outfits.
QUICK Hack: I despise tights and pantyhose! I can’t take the slipping and sliding. If you want to achieve the look of tights without the hassle, use leggings! A few years ago I bought a pair of fur lined leggings, and they have changed my LIFE! They were perfect with this outfit since the temperatures were so low.
I was surprised this little green mini skirt still fit! I think I only remember wearing it once back in 2016. I just happened to pull it out when searching for something to wear.
The star of the show is my favorite pink faux leather jacket! There are so many things I could say about this jacket, but I’d never do it justice. It is faux leather, and lined very well. I bought it 4 years ago at Forever21 after searching high and low for a faux leather jacket with great quality and I can honestly say it is the perfect jacket for all occasions. Since, my mom and sister have wanted a jacket with similar qualities, and we haven’t found one to live up to its excellence.
