Hey there gals and guys, it’s Bri. This year it seems that Fall was here within a blink of an eye; without any warning. Let’s not pretend like it’s not our favorite time to cozy up, drink our pumpkin spice lattes, and pull out our sweaters and boots! This weather has inclined me to share the story of all stories with you all; my secret to finding the perfect Fall booties UNDER $5! I know, it sounds insane, but let me give you the run-down.
I was wearing a dress and flip flops when I stepped outside of my apartment and felt the cold wind sweep across my toes.
Absolutely not. I thought to myself.
I rushed back into my apartment, grabbed my favorite booties and put on a sweater and some leggings.
Fall is Life. Life is Fall.
So now, here was my issue: I ONLY HAD ONE PAIR OF BOOTS FOR THIS SEASON! This is the part where Sab comes in. Anyone who knows the other half of TheDavisGals, Sabrina, knows that she is the shopping guru. Seriously. My sister is the shopper of all shoppers, her closet is practically a mini-mall and I AM that younger sister who will gladly take on all of her hand-me-downs. There was one problem, Sabrina had no boots to pass down because of her transition back to Maryland, so she gives the next best option—SHOPPING. For years our hidden gem for clothes and shoes has been... *whispers in your ear* Sears.
Sears was once the largest retailer for EVERYTHING. Now, in 2018 around 48 stores are set out to close or have already been closed. Sears has also filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Our hidden gem lies in Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick, MD.
As soon as we walked in the store, we instantly spotted these adorable suede booties for $49.99. Not bad. The man who was stocking shoes in the section behind us, saw the two of us browsing through the shoes and exclaimed, “Those are on sale for 19.99!” In our best ratchet voices we let out a, “Yaaaaassssssss!” Sab grabbed a black and grey pair but I was still not 100% sold yet. We head up to the counter and our new gal pal, Beth Ann, lets us put in our Shop Your Way Rewards points and lets Sab know that she has a $25 off coupon. GIRL WHAAAAAT! Beth-Ann then goes on to tell Sab that she has $13 off for another purchase. She instantly looks at me and tells me to go grab the grey booties and to get my life together because these type of sales are RARE. I grabbed the boots and by the time I was back Sab had finished checking out and she received a 40% coupon.
So y’all, NOT ONLY did I use my $13 off, I used the 40% and GUESS HOW MUCH MY BOOTS WERE?! $2.57! I took a picture because I was in complete disbelief that I was only spending TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY-SEVEN CENTS for adorable
Fall booties.
It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t wear these shoes out as soon as possible. Here are a few pics of how I styled my booties for church. Make sure to follow me on Instagram @justsaybri and checkout my story for upcoming pictures with my booties!
Please share photos with us if you happen to stop by Sears and see any cute finds!
